The TEZ at Groz-Beckert is occupied with topics of the future brought on by the environment and customers. Significant potential is afforded by fiber-reinforced composites, which replace conventional materials like steel as textile, non-metallic reinforcements in concrete.

Compared with those reinforcements, these reinforcements are lighter and more flexible. This reduces weight which facilitates transport and processing. They also offer new design options for thin and filigree concrete buildings. With this feature, less material is required which saves resources and reduces carbon emissions.

Due to its corrosion resistance, product life is significantly prolonged. Together with the subsidiary solidian, new fibre matrix combinations for non-metal reinforcement are developed at TEZ.
